We are proud and excited to announce a new addition to the EJP Marketing Co. team!
7 Things to Know About Monica Anderson
As our first EJP Marketing Co. Marketing Operations Coordinator, what are you looking forward to most about this role??
I am looking forward to working on new projects and applying the skills and knowledge I have obtained from my studies, entrepreneurship experience, as well as the perseverance and work ethic gained during my time in the National Guard. Joining a group of “Millennials who are Visionaries, Strategists…Oh, And There’s Some Grit Mixed In There As Well” is exactly the home for me as I check each of these boxes, with some additional complementary skills mixed in as well. The opportunity to contribute new and innovative techniques that will further the success of EJP will continue to be a key driver for me.
What was it like to be in the National Guard?
My time in the National Guard was exciting and adventurous. I enjoyed being away from home and meeting new people. I learned the importance of teamwork. Some days were a struggle to get through, but I learned how to overcome the boundaries I placed on myself physically and mentally. I hold dear the discipline from my training and core values which I still live by to this day.
You are currently completing your Digital Marketing Certification. What has that been like, and what are you most looking forward to after completing it??
It hasn’t been a walk in the park, but one thing about me is I love a good challenge and pursuing something that is so engrained in our society, businesses of all kinds! Digital marketing is almost a necessity for a thriving company, and I’m excited to strengthen my knowledge and contribute to EJP’s clients. I am eager to see where this new role will take me!
Is your ideal vacation spot in the U.S. or internationally?
My perfect vacation spot is wherever the most transparent water is, with lots of beautiful scenery and good food. I will bring the music and know it will be a marvelous time.
You started as an EJP Marketing Co intern: what did you most enjoy about your internship?
I enjoyed learning new Marketing techniques, tools and working under such talented women.
What’s your favorite food and or restaurant?
My favorite restaurant so far is Pangea. The food is fantastic, the customer service is superb, and the atmosphere makes you want to get up and dance.
What are some causes or charity initiatives that are most passionate about their cause?
Make-A-Wish, I believe every child deserves to have their dream come true. Boys & Girls Clubs of America, children should always feel that they have somewhere safe to go. Meals on Wheels, I remember all the good meals my grandmother made for our family, so I believe that our older generation should never go without a meal. Last, I will say Food Pantries. During this pandemic, I enjoyed working at different local food pantries, and I saw firsthand how things could change for a family at a moment’s notice.
